Wholesale Manager (Open)
At ORTC, we’re building a brand with ambition well beyond where we are today.
Founded in Adelaide in 2016, ORTC has grown from a local Australian label into a recognised brand with a growing customer base across Australia and beyond. As we enter our next stage of growth, wholesale represents a significant opportunity to expand our reach, build meaningful retail partnerships and introduce ORTC to new customers and markets.
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Wholesale Manager to take ownership of this channel and help shape what the future of wholesale looks like at ORTC.
This is a senior role with genuine opportunity to make your mark. You’ll work closely with our Managing Director and wider leadership team to develop and execute the wholesale strategy, strengthen our existing network and identify new opportunities for the brand.
You won’t simply be managing an established portfolio. You’ll be expected to think strategically, open doors, build relationships and create opportunities. You’ll have the autonomy to make things happen and the opportunity to directly influence the growth of one of our key channels.
Key Responsibilities
As Wholesale Manager, you’ll own the wholesale channel from strategy through to execution.
You’ll be responsible for growing revenue, developing our retail network and building strong, long-term relationships with our wholesale partners. You’ll bring both the commercial thinking and the hands-on energy required to identify opportunities, win new business and drive strong seasonal sell-in.
- Working closely with Design, Marketing, Operations and Leadership, you’ll ensure our wholesale strategy is aligned with the broader direction of the brand.
- Develop and lead ORTC’s wholesale strategy, with a clear focus on revenue growth, account development and expanding our retail network.
- Manage, nurture and grow relationships with existing wholesale accounts and key retail partners.
- Proactively identify, approach and secure new stockists, accounts and business opportunities across Australia and international markets.
- Present seasonal collections to buyers and drive strong seasonal sell-in and account performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, owners and key decision-makers across the fashion and retail industry.
- Identify opportunities to increase account value, improve sell-through and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Analyse sales and account performance to identify opportunities and inform forecasting, planning and commercial decisions.
- Work closely with Design, Marketing, Operations and Leadership to align wholesale activity with the broader business and brand strategy.
- Represent ORTC at buying appointments, trade events, market appointments and industry meetings as required.
About You
You’re an experienced wholesale sales professional who understands what makes a strong retail partnership and is motivated by building something bigger.
You’re commercially minded, highly relationship-driven and confident operating at a senior level. You know how to have a great conversation with a major buyer but equally with a smaller business owner, comfortable looking at the numbers and identifying where the next opportunity lies.
- Demonstrated wholesale experience within the fashion or lifestyle industry is essential.
- Significant experience in a senior wholesale, sales, key account or business development role.
- A strong understanding of the Australian fashion retail and wholesale landscape, with established industry relationships.
- A proven track record of growing revenue, winning new business and developing successful accounts.
- A natural relationship builder with strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercially minded, ambitious and motivated by growth and results.
- A genuine go-getter who takes initiative, moves with urgency and enjoys creating opportunities.
This role is Adelaide-based, with interstate travel required from time to time to meet with customers, buyers, and prospective partners.
Why ORTC?
- Competitive salary package.
- Annual product allowance and generous staff discounts.
- On-site gym and modern office space.
- Hybrid working model to support balance and flexibility.
- Regular team events, celebrations, and early finishes.
- An opportunity to be part of a growing Australian-owned brand with global ambition.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a key growth channel within ORTC and play a significant role in shaping the future of our wholesale business
If you're an experienced fashion wholesale professional who loves building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving commercial growth, and you want to play a key role in the next stage of one of Australia's fastest-growing lifestyle brands, we'd love to hear from you.
